Off the Map
Welcome to "la ciudad de las estrellas" (the city of stars), a tiny town in the South American jungle which has one
understaffed, under-stocked medical clinic. That's where idealistic young Dr. Lily Brenner (Caroline Dhavernas) just
landed, along with fellow doctors Mina Minard (Mamie Gummer) and Tommy Fuller (Zach Gilford). All of these young doctors
are running away from personal demons, but they aren't the only ones with emotional baggage. In this ensemble drama, six
doctors who have lost their way will go to the ends of the earth to try to remember the reasons why they wanted to become
doctors in the first place.

Idealistic young Dr. Lily Brenner, along with fellow doctors Mina Minard and Tommy Fuller, arrive in "la ciudad de las estrellas" (the city of stars), a tiny town in the South American jungle which has one understaffed, under-stocked medical clinic. All of these young doctors are running away from personal demons, but they aren't the only ones with emotional baggage. They're introduced to the legendary and enigmatic Ben Keeton, who was the youngest Chief of Surgery at UCLA but who walked away from it all to found the clinic. Together with his right-hand doctor, Otis Cole, the mysterious Dr. Ryan Clark and local doctor, Zita Alvarez, he'll teach the newcomers how to save lives in the most challenging environment they've ever worked in.

When a 12-foot anaconda snake takes hold of a wildlife photographer, Zee, Lily and Ben spring into action. Meanwhile Tommy learns a tough cultural lesson and Mina struggles to get along with new colleague Ryan.

A live wire electrocutes a man and causes a blackout; a mudslide endangers a pregnant couple.

Mina struggles with her own moral code after learning the true identity of her patient, while Lily learns more about Ben's past and is tested on her first trip into the city.

When a scuba diving trip goes wrong, Ryan, Ben, Tommy and Mina race to save their patient underwater, while a flame from Zee's past returns to the clinic for an unconventional treatment.

When a robbery deprives the clinic of all of their meds, the docs must scramble to keep treating patients. Tommy must save a frat brother whose hang-over turns out to be something much worse. Ryan must deal with a schoolgirl who's been bitten by an insect and gotten a serious problem that strikes too close to home. Meanwhile Otis must revisit his own demons in order to obtain some much needed pain relief for a man with burst appendix.

After the medevac helicopter crashes in the jungle, the team must jump into action to save the lives of their patients and the pilots, while Ryan searches for a missing girl and Lily learns a shocking secret that Mateo's been keeping.

Lily and Dr. Cole rescue three brothers trapped in an abandoned gold mine, while Mina learns a life changing lesson during a native birth ritual.
